I just checked out NBC’s SNF site, www.sundaynightisfootballnight.com, and they have a ton of cool stuff. Wallpaper, widgets, multimedia. You can look at Atlanta food, and facts about the team. They also have Madden, Michaels and Collinsworth talking about the Falcons match ups. You should go see it, because the site is great!

The Atlanta Falcons release WR Fred Gibson

Fred Gibson’s career with the Falcons was over before it started.  He didn’t play as a rookie for the Dolphins and the Falcons thought bringing him back to where he played his college ball (Georgia) would inspire him.  They were wrong.

The Atlanta Falcons suffer some more bad luck

Warrick Dunn underwent surgery for a herniated disc in his back and he will likely miss the next six weeks.  Dunn might miss the start of the 2007 football season so Jerious Norwood better be ready to carry a heavy workload early in the season.  Dunn also had shoulder surgery last January as his body seems to be wearing down from the beating he has been taking.  Dunn played in all 16 games last season and he carried the ball 286 times for 1,140 yards (4.0 ypc) with 4 TD runs.  He also caught 22 passes for 170 yards (7.7 avg) with 1 TD grab.

Michael Vick indicted on federal charges of dogfighting

The Atlanta Falcons are in a tough spot now as they chose to keep Michael Vick instead of Matt Schaub in the off-season.  Vick has now been indicted on federal charges of running and participating in dog fights which could land him in prison for as many as six years if he is convicted.  The NFL is urging Vick to take a leave of absence but that would put owner Arthur Blank in a tough spot because Vick would continue to get paid while JOEY HARRINGTON turns into the starting QB of the Atlanta Falcons.  This is a lose/lose situation for the Atlanta Falcons who made a bad choice in keeping a THUG who isn’t that good of a quarterback instead of a young, talented cheaper QB.

I dont even know where to begin, what a sick person! Michael Vick should be removed from the NFL and to never return….EVER and to say he is a hero? thats an UNDERSTATEMENT. You can take a thug from his roots, but they are still the same person. He needs to be treated the same way he treated those dogs. and Im sure all the inner city thugs will stand behind him and defend his actions. When he goes to jail, I hope they take care of this piece of *&$# and throw away the key, and everyone needs to forget him.
