Where has the running game gone for the Atlanta Falcons?
The Falcons’ running game has went to the dogs! Sorry, I had to do it. Seriously, QB Michael Vick was the best running back on the Falcons last season as the rushed for over 1,000 yards last season. He literally could score on any play and the Falcons just don’t have that dynamic in the current backfield. It seems as if the wear and tear is starting to affect the undersized Warrick Dunn. He’s starting to look his age as he has carried the ball 46 times for 160 yards (3.5 ypc) with 1 TD run. It’s only a matter of time until Jerious Norwood replaces Dunn as the main back and the sooner that happens….the quicker the offense will be better. Norwood has carried the ball 20 times for 95 yards (4.8 ypc) and he’s also a huge threat out of the backfield as he has caught 6 passes for 71 yards so far this season.
