The Falcons have signed 32-year old linebacker Mike Peterson to a 3-year deal.  Peterson played in 15 games for the Jaguars last season and he made 84 tackles and had 1 sack.  Peterson has now played in 135 games in his NFL career and he has made 1,000 tackles, defensed 40 passes, has 19.5 sacks, has forced 6 fumbles and he has 15 interceptions (0ne returned for a TD).  This was a good signing for the Falcons as Peterson just needs to stay healthy to improve the interior of  the defense in 2009.
